The speaker, Dan Keel, is a local author, journalist, birdwatcher and speaker who is an expert on swans - with over 30 years experience of birdwatching on land, at sea and in the air (he is a private pilot).

What the talk will cover

This talk, illustrated with Dan's photographs, will discuss the myriad of myths and fairytales about swans - Can a swan really break your arm? Does the king really own them all? Do they really sing before they die? Do they really mate for life?
