Please use these guidance notes before logging in to the Members Portal in Beacon, our membership database. If you are certain you have already been through the registration process of creating a password through Beacon to log-in, please go straight to the LINK to the MEMBERS PORTAL at the bottom of this page.
By using the online renewal in Beacon you will be linked to the PayPal site to pay by debit card, credit card. You do not have to join PayPal to make your payment.
Members who have not yet created a password to log-in please read these guidance notes on how to create a password before clicking on the LINK below. Beacon member's log-in has been simplified. Members will, after an initial set-up, be able to log in with the email address they have registered in Beacon as their username, plus a password of their own choosing.
To transition to the new email and password log-in, members first need to log-in as before (with five pieces of membership information - Membership Number, Forename, Surname, Postcode, Email Address) to create a password. Go to Members’ Portal. On the Beacon log-in page ignore the email and password fields and click on the blue 'Register for a Membership Account’.
Enter your 5 pieces of membership information. It is important that the details entered by you must exactly match the details shown on the Renewal Notice we have sent to you. If you cannot sign in with your 5 pieces of information it will either, be because you are either entering the information incorrectly, or that Beacon does not have the same information as you are typing in, e.g., your Postcode could be incorrectly stored in Beacon.
If any of your details shown in the Renewal Notice are wrong or out of date you can email the Membership Secretary to update your record.
Please note when logging into Beacon you should use a leading capital for your Forename and Surname (and the rest of the names lower case). The postcode should be in capitals, with only one space between the two halves of the postcode. Your email address should normally be all lower case. Beware allowing auto-fill to fill in your details as this can result in unseen spaces being added.
Enter all your details as above, then once logged into Beacon, create your password. You will be sent a verification email which you must respond to within 1 hour.
If you don’t respond to the verification email within 1 hour, or you forget your chosen password, then click on the blue ‘Forgotten Password’ box on the login page, enter your email address and you will be sent a password reset email that you must respond to within one hour, (otherwise you will need to click on ‘Forgotten Password’ yet again).
Once your password has been created and you have clicked on the link in the verification email, members will use their registered email address (username) and chosen password to log-in to Beacon in future.
After a successful sign-in you will be taken to the Members Portal Home page where you will be able to update your personal details, renew your membership and request a replacement membership card.
RENEW NOW - Click on Members’ Portal below under the “links” heading to log-in and create your password and renew your membership.
