Poetry Corner continues to flourish. Over the last year we've investigated even more poets from different times and different places: going back to the distant past with Sappho, then working our way towards more modern poetry via John Clare, Thomas Hardy, Margaret Attwood, Pablo Neruda and Anna Crowe. Our themed meetings have proved particularly successful, leading us to a surprising range of poets and poems: who knew where celebrating Haslemere u3a's 30th anniversary would lead us?! All this happens in a light hearted atmosphere where we enjoy meeting new people and catching up on our news over tea & biscuits.

Poetry Corner meets from 2.30pm – 4.30pm on the third Thursday of each month in central Haslemere taking turns to choose a poet and lead the meeting. Currently the group is full but we do offer taster sessions for potential new members. Currently, there’s no one on the waiting list.
