In conjunction with the National Small-Bore Rifle Association at Bisley, we are pleased to offer target shooting. Instruction is provided on air rifles and .22 live fire disciplines at each 90-minute session.
Live fire will take place on their 25 metre covered outdoor range where we will have opportunities to try competition guns and targets as well as turning targets throughout the year.
We will be using the 6-yard indoor range for the air rifle. Once the instructors are satisfied with our standard, we will have the chance to use the new indoor 10-yard electronic air rifle range and air pistols. Please note that if you cannot stand, it is perfectly acceptable to sit. Wheelchair access is available. All ranges and facilities are on the ground floor, with flat access.
All sessions are with fully qualified instructors who we hire for the sessions and include safety briefing, training, lane hire, all necessary equipment hire, insurance and membership of the NSRA for a day.
We aim to run one session per month, and have previously run Christmas and Easter competitions as well as a friendly competition with a neighbouring u3a group.
Sessions start at 1:30pm and last for 90 minutes.
The cost per 90-minute session is currently £40 per per person.

Other information:
No skill or previous experience is necessary, you will be taken through all the necessary safety procedures and guided as to how to safely use your rifle or pistol. All ranges are wheelchair accessible. As sessions and an instructor have to be pre-booked, you will be asked to sign up for the session two weeks in advance. If you book and are unable to attend, you may be liable for the cost of that session but I will do my best to find a replacement. In order to obtain the discounted price we need a minimum of six people. We have a reciprocal arrangement with Guildford u3a so further shoots may also be available throughout the year, depending on numbers.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session so that you can be registered, make payment and receive your instructions. There is an on-site cafe where we can congregate before the shoot.
****** You must read the Group Information pdf as it contains safety information, along with information on the venue and how to get there ******
